Project Update 5/12

My book is finished!! I am very proud to say that I have successfully compiled my quotes, organized them how I thought they would work, decided on a style, and finally found a way to print my new book of inspirational quotes for Mr. Blair's classroom. I think the hardest part of my project was organizing the quotes and then finding a way to print my book once it had been laid out and I had decided on a style. I ordered my book to be printed, but sadly I won't be able to include a picture right now because the book won't be ready and at my house until around the middle of July. I'm excited for the book to come so I can see it and show myself that I can actually create something pretty good if I put ...

Project Update 5/4

Since my last blog post, I have decided that I am going to incorporate a mix of my two ideas for the color scheme and style of the book. I decided to use bright colors but not use thick, blocky lettering and use thin font that looks slightly handwritten and on pages that have images or illustrations to use thin drawings and images but still keep it colorful. The only issue I have run into now is how to get the book printed. There are a lot of websites that you can use to print books but I am still not totally sure what the front and the back of the book are going to look like and I want to work those things out before it could get printed. There are a lot of things that go in to printing a book that I never realized. Not only do you have to worry about the cover and what it should look and feel like but also how thick you want the pages to be and how much of the text will fill up the page and so on.
